Hey. I am going to enter the Pokemon VGC 2010, but I need to know if my Umbreon is hacked. I've had this Umbreon for forever and it was NOT created from a hacking device. However, I am pretty sure I have used a couple of HACKED rare candies on it. Will my Umbreon be considered hacked at the Pokemon VGC if I have used hacked rare candies on it?

    Here is it's info:
    Name:Umbreon
    Level:92
    Type: Dark
    OT: Bobby
    ID No: 13010
    May 25,2008
    Arrived at level 78.
    Hardy nature.
    HP: 315
    Attack:156
    Defense:223
    Special Attack:150
    Special Defense:271
    Speed:168
    Ability:Synchronize
    Moves:
    Return
    Confuse Ray
    Dark Pulse
    Psychic

No, so long as the pokemon was obtained through normal means, it will not be detected.
Though you shouldn't hack to get Rare Candies, they won't be able to tell, because it would be just like getting a whole bunch of Rare Candies and using them.

It'd be nice if there was ever some way of determining whether or not items are hacked; it's not like TMs/Choice Items/lefties/LOs/vitamins just fall out of the sky for us fair players...

Because the Umbreon itself is not hacked, and was only given rare candies that came from a hacking device, such as an AR, then no your Umbreon will not be detected as an illegal use in the competition. I'd probably recommend the same idea as 0m3GA ARS3NAL and not use hacked Rare Candies, just because it takes the fun out of training Umbreon yourself - especially since you've had it for so long.

More importantly though, any future questions you may have related to HG/SS, please use the Help Thread here. [link]
