Is it like the must have game so far for Pokemon? I played the first games; I thought they were alright, but they got tedious. So are the new games better? worse? Are they worth picking up?

Well, since you described the first ones as "tedious", let me put it this way: Yes, the game can get hard. But that doesn't make it any less of a great, exciting, and very enjoyable sequel.

The storyline is wonderful and deep, it's much longer than that of the previous MD game, and I personally think it's better. Gameplay is generally unchanged, but with 4th-Gen elements added and all the new Pokemon save for Shaymin, Arceus, and Giratina's Origin Form. There is more to do, new dungeons... It's pretty much the same game, but improved a bit in gameplay, stuffed with much more storyline, and over all, longer-lasting than PMD1.

I would reccomend it. No doubt about it. Time or Darkness (it doesn't really matter which; the main differences are Lucario and Celebi or Lopunny and Mewtwo), or both, you should get this game if you enjoyed the first.

It is such a great game, much better than PMD1.

The ending is so beautiful and emotional as well, and it was just really satisfying to me.

Like iLike2EatPiez said, the storyline is deeper than the first game and lasts longer. Plus, it's altogether a more moving and fun game than the first.

Though some of the bosses may be hard, it's definitely worth playing. It doesn't matter which version you pick. I give it five stars.

Like everyone else said, it's a great game. I really loved MD1 and I have to say that MD2 was even better. Although, I really wanted to have Eevee as my starter like on MD1, but then I found out she wasn't one on MD2..
That's really the only complaint I had.
If you enjoyed MD1 at all, you'll love MD2, so I recommend you try it out!
    ;D
