    Hello!

I'm new to decomp and it's clearly AMAZING!

I have the habit to use binary editing like Advance Map, XSE and other tools and I still want to use them sometimes and mostly hex editors.

Is it possible to edit pokeemerald.gba binary way like I'm used to do with HxD, Gen3Tools and Advanced Sprites Position Editor (the main binary tools I want to use) and then switch to decomp again?

    Thanks for your answer!

No! But I might have found a solution to co-joint the two by making ips patches of your decomp work and apply them to your binary work and make sure no offsets are overwritten! I will try this and see if that works!

The main problem with this is that when you add/remove data/code in the decomp, data after it gets shifted around.
So applying multiple patches created from a compiled rom will likely result in a non-functioning rom.
And patches created from binary hacked roms applied to compiled roms might not work either.

You're best off just learning to make the changes in pokeemerald.
