Is the Viz released Pokemon manga the same as Pokemon Special?

I am really interested in buying Pokemon manga but for the life of me, i can't find any issues of Pokemon special, SO! was wondering, is the Viz manga essentially Pokemon special, but translated?

To me it looks like the manga of the anime.

D: This is super dissapointing.
As I really want the Pokemon Special series.

Whatever, If its not the same, could anyone help me out by giving me a link to where i can buy Pokemon special in the uk?
If anyone could, it would be greatly appreciated.

If you are referring to Pokemon Adventures, then yes. Sadly, Viz never released any of the volumes past 7 in the U.S. However, looking at Books-A-Million's website, it seems that they will be rereleasing the series, starting with Volume 1 to be shipped out June 2, 2009.
