4th Gen is there a difference?

ok lets say i have a lvl 100, EV trained, rhydon; and i trade it while its holding a protector, will its stats be any different than if i were to evolve it then train it to lvl 100 instead?

Nope, shouldnt be. EVs and IVs are all in effect, it should just make the appropriate jumps.
