NOTE: Yes, I know Mightyena isn't an all around good pokemon. Yes, I know it won't do stunning in actual competitive play. I'm battling with this pokemon for fun. I don't care if it wins every time. I just thought this was a good idea for a set, and it might be surprising and fun to use, and I'd like opinions on it. Thanks.
FORMAT: Singles/Doubles
Mightyena @Leftovers/Shell Bell??? (For the HP. Are there better ideas?)
ROLE: Last minute revenge killer
An "if all else fails" poke. If my other sweepers are fainted, this will be my back-up. So I will only use it when I need it. And I have a moveset to support this role.
-Sucker Punch (priority STAB. Covers psychic & ghost types. Almost always goes first.)
-Retaliate (Mightyena comes out when everyone else is fainted. So this should work great.)
-Super Fang (cuts the HP to half. It's bound to be good, I'm sure?)
-Substitute (protection, to make up for Mightyena's bad defense)
EVS: I actually don't know which stats I should train. Help on this?
HP- definitely should be trained.
Attack- definitely should be trained. This is the stat it needs most. Question is, how much?
Defense- despite having Substitute, should train this just a bit- just in case.
Sp. Attack- it doesn't need this. I'll make this blank.
Sp. Defense- not sure if training this stat is worth it? Should I?
Speed- should train this a little.
I just need a EV spread. This I definitely need suggestions on.
TEAMMATE OPTIONS:
For doubles format. I need a Pokemon with high defense that knows Heal Pulse, Helping Hand, Follow Me and one more move that will go well with this. I don't know a Pokemon who fits this criteria. Does Blissey or Togekiss know those moves?
Ok, that's it. Does this strategy sound like a good idea? Please leave suggestions, thanks.
