is this the end of pokemon generations?

They shouldn´t release new Pokemon. 493 are enough. (In my opinion, the first 151 were already enough...)
I think, they should let Pokemon like it is. It´s great and actually, it´s a wonder, that still so many people like it.
I would like it, if they create new regions, but not more Pokemon. But the end of Pokemon isn´t it yet.

Theres no way that the Pokemon Co. would give up their money making stuff. Did you know that they are a multi-millionaire company now? They wouldn't just end it like that. Besides, new pokemon doesn't mean there has to be new legendaries to rule over stuff.

Yeah, Did RYB have anything to do with legendaries ruling over places? it had to do with them creating Mewtwo from Mew... not like they ruled over anything...

Gold Silver and Crystal were where they started having Pokemon rule over things, such as Lugia ruling over the sea.

I personally like just about all the new Pokemon they have. They have millions of ideas yet to hit the light, but I think that Pokemon will keep going on... if you think 493 is a lot I think there are a few thousand Digimon that exsist, so I don't think Pokemon will end anytime soon.

They could make some new Pokemon and have it so you have to pick a Dark, Psychic, or Fighting starter or some of those other trios that have weakness's and strengths.

i think pokemon well reach atleast 1000 poke do you realy think that nintendo would just say:
this is enough we already made the god of pokemon so pokemon is over and no more millions each month

i don't think so there well be more and more gens of pokemon proply gen10

First of all: They don´t have much ideas. Maaaaan, just look at the 4th generation;
1. 29 Evos/Pree-evos of older ones
2. Again, a electro mouse (Squirrel?) Pachirisu -.-
3. Shellos looks like Lapras (not exactly, but...)
4. WHY THE FUDGE do Yanma and Tangela need Evos??? (Nobody likes them^^)
And Porygon, Skorga, Piloswine, Rizeros and Magneton don´t need Evos!!!
5. Look at the legenderies; Palkia looks like Godzila, Shaymin is ... yeah, ya know?, the three legenderies look like one (just recolored and they are all the same element (Psycho), and there are too much of them (14)

2nd: there are only about 500 - 600 Digimon ;)

3rd: I would like to have a Pokémon MMORPG (I mean one from Gamefreak, not a fan-game), where you can do really EVERYTHING, like open up a daycare, arena or stuff like that.

That´s all^^

Pokemon will probley never end, though Pokemon D/P wern't the best games they have made, and a lot of the pokemon were rather lame.

Though a true pokemon MMORPG would kick major butt.

you just answerd you own question about why yanma and tagale nead evo's cuz no one liked them so the evolved them so ppl start liking them

As long as they get money out of it, Pokémon isn't going anywhere. Pokémon is still making a butt load of money and as long as it continues to do so, they'll continue making Pokémon games because in the end, it all comes down to money.

First of all, there are no such types as ''Electro'' and ''Psycho.'' Second, pre-evos can go crawl under a rock and die, but giving old Pokémon evolutions isn't such a bad idea. After all, many of them really needed those evolutions. Sure a Yanma and Tangela can wreak havoc against a bad player, but let's face it, against someone who knows what they're doing won't have any problem dealing with either of them. (unless of course it's an UU battle) Out of the Pokémon that got evolutions, at least Yanma, Tangela, Piloswine, Misdreavus and Murkrow actually needed them so I don't see what you're complaining about. And what the heck is a ''Rizeros'' and a ''Skorga''? And I almost forgot, don't go forcing your opinions on others by saying ''no one likes them'' as if it was a universal fact. I like Tangela and Yanma. >.< And maybe the fact that few like them and use them was part of the reason they got evolutions? Nah... can't be.[/SARCASM] And how can't you see a difference between a sea slug and a dinosaur?

As for the legendaries, they were much more creative than the Hoenn legendaries tbh. And you're saying Palkia looks like Godzilla when Groudon has a much bigger resemblance to it? And unless your eye sight is about as good as a mole's, it's quite easy to see the difference between the legendary trio. And what about the regis? Their bodies are almost the same, they're just made of different materials. -.- And I'll say it again, there's no such type as ''Psycho.''

And last, but not least, a Pokémon MMORPG spells out ''Major Failure!'' for too many reasons for me to list.

Hmm... I don´t understand much you wrote (I´m from austria), but what I understand:
Sorry, Riezeros is the German name of Rhydon, Skorgla is Glygar.

And there is the type Psycho, or what do you think is Abra?

Ok, I apologize for saying that nobody likes Tangela and Yanma (BUT there are MANY people who don´t like them.MAAANY!!!)

And if there´s no Electro type, what is Pikachu? o.O

And I really think Shellos looks a bit like lapras.

Ok, Groudon too looks like Godzila, but Palkia more!^^

You´re right, the regis ARE the same, but the fact that they are at least other types and that they look different makes them better than the new ones. (I meant they look ALMOST like one, not exactly, sorry)

So, that´s all I want to say to you, except by: Maaaaaaan, don´t be so aggressive, I just told everybody MY oppinion!!!

Again, that´s all.

they are called elecric and psychic not electro and psycho and the made those evos cuz no one liked them so when ppl see there evos some ppl well like them like me i hated yanma since it came out but look at yanmega he is soooooo cool one of the coolest pokes and yes maybe rhydon didn't need an evo and i don't think it's a good idea to evolve it but gilgar needed one

okay, nobody hate on rhyperior. rhyperior is awesome. and definitely better than rhydon.

also, i think i support that idea of an mmorpg of pokemon. like, you can beat the story mode and then a whole newe mmorpg opens for you, where you can create guilds and stuff, or do daycares or make trade buildings, or whatever. with the online capabilities of the ds, i really think that they could take that idea and run with it, and make it into something really good.

So, that´s all I want to say to you, except by: Maaaaaaan, don´t be so aggressive, I just told everybody MY oppinion!!!
And I just told you I disagree with your opinion, which is another way of stating my own opinion.

trust me, if nintendo and game freak are smart, they'll keep putting out new ideas. the pokemon following is huge, and we would all go nuts if it stopped. i would anyway. it may take some time but they'll come up with some new ideas. they wouldnt let this die.

I don't want new pokemon; I want new regions or all of them put together.

I don't think that's possible, since Nintendo loves money....you have to buy 2 versions to get certain Pokemon and since your going to BUY the other version the money will go to Nintendo...no doubt

Anyway..I disagree with people who says they can't make Legendary Pokemon anymore....
most Legendary Pokemon DOESN'T have any legends like for example:
Mewtwo- Mewtwo doesn't have any legends behind them....It's only description is Mewtwo WAS MADE by the Humans...
The Legendary Birds- The only description they have is: Something will happen if they fly across the sky..
Giratina- Giratina lives in the dimension different from us...and THAT'S IT!
Cresselia-
Shiny particles are released from its wings like a veil. It is said to represent the crescent moon. So what?
The 3 Regi's- They were made by Steel, Ice and Rock...nothing more
Phione- I don't consider this a Legendary....
Um...there's more but I can't remember it...
Anywho, See..They are consider Legendary Pokemons even though they have legends behind them...

Legends are getting more important each time, and 493 is surely enough (why didn't they left it at 500?), but would you really want to play in a new region, with the same Pokémon over and over again, considering Pokémon games are almost the same with upgraded mechanics and more extensive storyline? It would become boring. But here's my idea to make EVERYONE happy:

FIRST:
Make this fourth generation as long as hell considering Wi-Fi, Opal (The third from the D/P saga), the unlikely G/S remakes (and maybe even Crystal) and many many spinoffs, like Mystery Dungeon 2, a well done Pokémon Ranger, Pokémon Pinball D/P, Pokémon Snap 2 (for Wii?), another TCG game, and many more. (Not that I like spinoffs)

SECOND:
While all these minimal games are being released, with the real games being a bit separated in release dates (not like R/S-2003, FR/LG-2005, E-2006) Nintendo could be making a Pokémon MMORPG, where you choose the region where you start with its corresponding starter Pokémon and battle the leaders and everything, and, if you like, entering contests, goign to the battle tower or whatever. it's impossible to have what everyone would like so they would leave it up to you to decide what you want to do and which Pokémon you want to have. There would be tournaments regularly and trading would be much easier. Referneces to Pokémon games all over the game (like in G/S/C where they guy at Cerulean says he lives happy with his traded Slowbro) and they could fix things like arranging uber battles, complete data for the other's Pokémon when trading, a "GTS" that waits for you to accept, too. What do you think? This would save problems like making more Pokémon and more legendaries and having to get all 8439 Pokémon when backward compatibility won't be available.

Most of those Pokémon do have legends based around them. According to the Pokédex in Red, Blue and Leafgreen Articuno is said to appear before people who are lost in icy mountains and have lost all hope. Zapdos can create thunderstorms and Moltres works pretty much as a miniature sun (by lighting up even a night sky with a flap of its wings), so in other words, the trio can control weather.

And I don't know about you, but to me it sure sounds like some superstitious legend that Giratina comes from another universe. As for Cresselia, it represents truth, making it the opposite of Darkrai that according to a legend can trap someone in a nightmare and since dreams are all in our heads, they are nothing but lies. Cresselia's feather or whatever can wake one up from Darkrai's nightmare, or in other words, make them see the truth; that it's nothing but an illusion.

And the regis, ''In this cave we have lived. We owe all to the Pokémon. But we sealed the Pokémon away. We feared it.'' - quote taken from the braille in the cave where you unlock the regis; translation courtesy of Psypokes.com. The text clearly indicates that one of the Regis (probably Regigigas) was some kind of robot weapon that probably served some ancient civilization. However, it was too powerful and the humans feared it might turn against them so they sealed it away. The 3 lesser Regis became the guardians and they were also sealed away to prevent anyone from awakening Regigigas. Sounds like a legend to me.

And why even mention Phione when it isn't a legendary and you don't think so either? However, I agree with you on the fact that they will continue making legendaries as long as Pokémon exists. If they need to, they'll just recycle old ideas like they've already done with some legendaries. (We have to creatures controlling time and 3 Pokémon that have a strong connection to the sea)

lets just say this... I HOPE NOT. if nintendo is REALLY running out of ideas, they should ask us kidz 4 ideas. heck, i probably have more of an imagination than all the people who create pokemon combined! ^_^

The Trio can control the weather? Come now....If you think that The Trio can control the weather why didn't you think that there is no Snow in Kanto? Sinnoh has Snow but There isn't any legendary Pokemon in Sinnoh that has the Type/Sub Type that is ICe....Except for Arceus of course

Hmmm...You have a point there

Another Point...D:

Yes, Manaphy was created even though Kyogre was there...
Maybe next time there will be another Pokemon that controls the Emotion of Humans...:\

I like the idea of keeping what we already have and have a game where we can go through all the different regions. They really just need a new storyline rather than new Pokemon, though Im very sure they can and probably will come out with more new ones.
