Hi guys. I'm working on an Emerald Hack Rom and now i have a problem. From the original Pokemon Emerald, I first implemented the stat coloring due to nature, then the FAIRY type. None of these changes were problematic. So I implemented the damage formula that takes physical and special moves into account. And here everything is ok (i checked the damage).
After implementing the physical, special and status move icons, this graphical error occurs (see Issue.PNG).
I have tried many times to repeat the changes but the same error reoccurs. What am I doing wrong?

    I followed those guides:

    https://www.pokecommunity.com/threads/352721 (P/S Split)

Honestly, using binary hacking for Emerald in 2022 is most of the Issue, I'm sorry to say.

Regardless, which emulator are you using to test? Since it may be that you aren't doing it wrong at all and it's the emu that's the issue.

Hi, i recently solved this bug. I wrote "30" instead of "18" in the limiter location and now everything works perfectly. By the way what do you suggest to use for hacking?

I am currently using HEX Maniac, HxD, G3T, PGE, AdvancedMap, HSE, (other software like NSE or unlz-GBA) and VBA.

Now I'm struggling with MOXIE, because just after de red attack buff it resets the game :(.

Like I mentioned, binary hacking is so 2012 😛

For Emerald especially, I'd recommend looking into the decomp.
Some skilled peeps have already rewritten the game's engine to include basically all the modern mechanics, abilities and even Pokémans themselves for you to use.

So struggling with binary methods is honestly a handicap at this point.
