You actulley get Chickorita, Cyindaquil, or Totadile(Johto starters)after you catch every Hoenn pokemon in your pokedex.

It's better then nothing, really. Once you're bored with the game just start cheating if you want more. Only way to do it. At least it's fun to get one of the johto starters.

I think the frontier itself is fun and challenging. That in itself is enough to keep my interest. The prize should never be your sole purpose for doing something. The true prize comes in the experience.

Sorry to say, but yes a johoto starter is what you get after beating it.
