IV-Cap for lured pokemon?

    Hi there :)

So a fellow player who is obsessed with perfection, meaning high IV and perfect movesets, came up with the following theory:

Pokemon that are spawned by lure modules have a cap at 90% IV, meaning you will not get them with higher than 90% IV.

It sounds weird that noone else noticed it so far, but so far it holds true. So pokemon with above 90% IVs are caught in the wild, not from modules, or hatched from eggs.

It certainly holds true for the very high IV (perfect or near perfect) pokemon i have so far, for those where i remember where i got them, they are all random spawns or from eggs.

    What do you think?

I am pretty sure the Dragonair that I evolved to My first and only Dragonite came from a lure module with 91% IV.

Only 1 - 13 / 14 / 14 which is consistent with the in-game appraisal. Also consistent results before and after powering up. My Dragonite has 2024 CP, 118 HP and 2500 stardust cost (powered up a bit).

Definitely a lure module spawn since the Dragonair was not on sighting and everyone ran to the lure when guys nearby shouted a Dragonair on lure (ofcourse in local language).

    Ok, that is interesting.

I am still not dismissing the hypothesis because all the 100% IVs as well as the 15/15/14s or 14/15/15 or 15/14/15s i got were from eggs or from the wild. When i get one where the appraisal feature says that its 80%+ and that it has one or two values at 15, i run the IV calculator and some other value is bad enough to get it below 90%.

Another big issue is that usually there are some spawn points near pokestops. So wild pokemon, unrelated to the lure module, can spawn under the lure module, you know this is the case when there are two pokemon under a lure module and you can catch both, instead of one giving you an error.

An unrelated observation: It seems most of the pokemon you capture from nests are low level and low CP. I captured dozens of eevees from a big nest yesterday, and the vast majority were under 500 CP. This makes some sense because the pokemon in a nest should be mostly juveniles.

Now although I have over 250 eevee candies, I don't have many high CP and high IV eevees to evolve!
