BREAKING NEWS. MY FIRST EVER D/P TEAM, NOT 3RD GEN FOR A CHANGE

EDIT: This is now finalized, so go ahead and rate it now...if you dare! Muhahahahahahahahahahaha...alright, thanks to those who helped.

Okay, after seeing all these new accounts Mullet has been making, I had to make an OU team, in honor of him. And by OU, i mean OU

Now then, here is my OU team:

    Metagross@Shell Bell/Lum Berry/Lefties
    Adamant
252 Attack, rest in speed and HP/Defense
    ~EQ
    ~Thunderpunch
    ~Agility
    ~Meteor MAsh

Agiligross. Please, no CBgross suggestions. I've never been able to use that effctively, and like this much better. Help w/ EVs.

    Skarmory@Leftovers
    Impish
    252 HP, 252 Defense, 6 Attack
    ~Spikes
    ~Roar
    ~Drill Peck
    ~Roost

Skarm to the rescue! Uh, yeah. Guess what's coming next...

    Blissey@Leftovers
    Bold
    225 HP, 252 Defense, 6 SpD
    ~Aromatherapy
    ~Seismic Toss
    ~Thunder Wave
    ~Softboiled

    ~Shadow Ball
    ~Thunderbolt
    ~Substitute
    ~Focus Punch

    Skarmbliss counter. Boltbeamer sorta.

    Suicune@Leftovers
    Calm
    EVs: 252 HP, 252 Defense, 6 SpD
    ~CM
    ~Surf
    ~Rest
    ~Ice Beam/Roar

    CMcune...wait, what are those EVs?

    Electivire@Expert Belt

Quick question, wots OU? sorry im new to competetive battlin

    OU = Over Used.
Someone should make a thread with all those terms.
And Suicune? Wouldn't it be banned?

No, suicune is legendary, not uber. Also wanna replace heracross. Suggestions?

    EDIT: I forgot to say it's for 3rd gen, didn't I...shoot.

You basically put four of my usual guys in this team. XD

    My suggestions in bold:

Okay, after seeing all these new accounts Mullet has been making, I had to make an OU team, in honor of him. And by OU, i mean OU

Now then, here is my OU team:

    Metagross@Shell Bell/Lum Berry/Lefties

252 Attack, rest in speed and HP/Defense
    ~EQ
    ~Explosion
    ~Agility
    ~Meteor MAsh

You'll want about 106 EVs in Speed, so that after one Agility he's guaranteed to outrun Pokemon like Aerodactyl and Jolteon. That's granted good IVs, though. The rest should go in HP. And Thunderpunch over Explosion, but both can work. Just make sure you have a backup physical sweeper for after he explodes.

Agiligross. Please, no CBgross suggestions. I've never been able to use that effctively, and like this much better. Help w/ EVs.

    Skarmory@Leftovers
    Impish
    252 HP, 252 Defense, 6 Attack
    ~Spikes
    ~Roar
    ~Drill Peck
    ~Toxic

Skarm to the rescue! Uh, yeah. Guess what's coming next...

You have no recovery move on this bad boy... replace Toxic with Roost or Rest, and you're set. You may want a few Attack EVs, to be positive he'll OHKO things like Breloom and Heracross.

    Blissey@Leftovers
    Bold
    225 HP, 252 Defense, 6 SpD
    ~Aromatherapy
    ~Seismic Toss
    ~Thunder Wave
    ~Softboiled

    Skarmbliss FTW!

Looks good to me. SubPunch Gengar pwns this thing, though. But you rarely see those anymore (unless you're battling me! ;)), so you shouldn't have too much of a problem.

    Gengar@Leftovers
    Hasty
    198 Attack, 184 Speed, 128 SpA
    ~Ice Punch
    ~Thunderbolt
    ~Substitute
    ~Focus Punch

    Skarmbliss counter. Boltbeamer sorta.

Hmmm... SubPunch Gengar. I use one myself, however, I always suggest a Lonely nature and maxed EVs in Attack, simply to take out Blissey in two hits. Being a SkarmBliss killer, you don't need an insane amount of Speed, since you have substitute backing you up if you need to take a hit (for example, against a Garchomp, allowing you to OHKO with ice Punch). I, personally, use Shadow Ball over Ice Punch, because even with Lonely nature and maxed EVs, it still packs a strong punch against those not expecting to absorb it. But that's the standard McIceGar you've got there. Just be careful, it tends to be very hard to play.

    Suicune@Leftovers
    Calm
    EVs: 252 HP, 252 Defense, 6 SpD
    ~CM
    ~Surf
    ~Rest
    ~Ice Beam/Roar

    CMcune...wait, what are those EVs?

Classic Suicune. Epitome of bulky water. This has 100 base HP, allowing it to make 101 Subs against a Blissey. So consider that also. In the long run, this monster can and will outstall a standard Blissey if the need arises. It just takes hella long.

    Heracross@Choice band
    Jolly/Adamant
    252 Speed, 252 Attack, 6 HP
    ~Brick Break
    ~Rock Slide
    ~Mehahorn
    ~HP Ghost

    CBcross.

I prefer Choice Scarf Cross over CBcross, simply because this guy isn't bulky enough to take hits. Choice Scarf makes him much scairer. Although, with Choice Band, Skarmory can no longer wall his Close Combats when she needs to... and that's a plus.

Alright, there my team is...kinda through it together, but any thoughts?

Good team. As you said, VERY OU, but so is mine (minus maybe two Pokemon). SkarmBliss in this generation only works when with a backup wall, and Suicune solves that problem. The only problem is that you don't have a definite special sweeper. Suicune is great, but can't function as a sweeper until she's Calm Minded up. But even then, she's slightly walled by another Bulky Water, like Milotic, who can put her to sleep and possibly force a switch.

Either way, good team. Watch out for Electivire, though... if he catches you on a Thunderbolt, this team may be toast.

This was for 3rd gen I totally forgot to mention...I feel like the biggest idiot ever. But you know what? I've been thinking about getting D/P again and I think I'll turn this into 4th gen, because I can. I'll edit that first post and get me some D/P pokemon...nice suggestions richard.

EDIT: Being a defensive battler, I might implement claydol into this team as a spinner and to toast Vire...but then it would be far to much like your team, richard, just realized that. I'll edit out that 1st post and probably replace a few guys...but thanks.

It aint the worst either with 140 base defense (I think) and more resistances than an army tank. I will, for the first time ever, use the dreaded skarmbliss. Muhahahahahaha!

Steelix is probably better. with 75 HP and 200 DEFENSE

Buuut... if ur using Skarmbliss, make the most of it and use Stealth Rock over Aromatherapy. Most of your pokemon can handle a status effect

Spikes + Stealth Rock = Ow

Meh, I'm not big on SR/spikes...more like a filler on skarm for me...I'd rather replace thunder wave on blissey if I did put it there. Now for me to vent: All the time people say favorites (like steelix for me) aren't as good as the standards, and now the one time I don't use the snake after EVERYBODY recommending skarm, steelix is the best all of a sudden.

[/vent] Okay, I would use steelix, my fav physical wall, but skarm is simply better, and that HURTS to say. Resists EQ...

Steelix can take like 5 Earthquakes or something. 200 Defense is nothing to pass up.

    Aromatherapy isn't needed too much.
    Heracross has Guts
Suicune is a walling pokemon, it handles Status well.
Metagross and Gengar are too fast.

Meh. I have never used a heal beller, and I got toated by status. I'm getting rid of heracross...and ever think that metagross could get hit by status the turn it uses agailty? Just sayin...

    McIceGar? I hate him

    Gengar@Choice Specs
    Trait: Levitate
    Nature: Timid
    EVs: 252 SATK/252 SPEED/4 HP
    HP Ice
    Thunderbolt
    Shadowball
    Focus Blast

    or

    Gengar@Wide Lens
    Trait: Levitate
    Nature: Timid
    EVs: 252 SATK/252 SPEED/4 HP
    Hypnosis
    Shadowball
    Focus Blast
    Thunderbolt

Yes, McIceGar. I may have a D/P team but I still use 3rd gen strategies, and you'd be surprised at how well many still work, like mcIceGar. I'm well aware of the standard, but I hate standards...

i'd give mcicegar shadow ball instead of ice punch. otherwise, bulky ground types wall him an make him useless early on in the battle, which are more common then skarmory this gen.

if you want Heracross Choice Band, it's very workable this gen, but it needs sleep talk plus about 116 hp evs. if not, stick with the cscarf you have now. give it adamant nature as cscarf + 252 will be more than enough.

besides that, this would be a tough team to take out. well done.

Alright...thanks. I'll go through a final edit here...making D/P teams is much easier than 3rd gen for some reson...maybe move selection? Well, yeah. I'll edit my final team in. Thanks everybody.

Well I would have never suggested Skarmory (probabley because I hate it) but A SteelBliss combination is very effective. Steelix does have a few more weaknesses like Water but most good water attacks are special anyways, so its not like it would have a chance anyways. Its pretty even Steelix has the massive defense, but you can't stack Stealth Rock like Spikes.
Still I think you should go SteelBliss. Go with your heart, that's what pokemon's all about right;):P
