NOTE: I use Corel X, which is a program oriented towards Fine Arts, and it's a real challange to make it work good things as a graphic designer.

These are in order of age - the closer to the top, the newer the signature banner is.

Recently I've improved a lot on my graphics works, and I've been pretty bored. So if you want, you can request a banner from me. All I'll need is a stock image and a colour scheme, but if you want to provide more specifications, I wouldn't mind that at all. In fact, it's prefered for you to get the signature banner you want.

Comments? Suggestions? Questions? Please feel free to let me know here.

Please please please, I know two of the banners are larger than signature limits here. I go onto other forums and get requests there, you see ^^

Also, please do not use any of these without my permission.

I like the "zfallen" banner, it all flows if you ask me ^^. In terms of constructive crit, I suggest picking a color or two and trying to center the banner around those. The Buizel banner kinda threw me off, because the green was different, maybe a ice blue would have been better there.
    Well, that's all I can offer ^^;
Good luck on the rest of your banenrs!

The program has a lot of brushes, but unlike GIMP or Photoshop, they're oriented to imitate real paintbrushes and other art mediums rather than use a digital style. The brushes are good for getting the background to have interesting effects, however (I usually use them as kind of an underpainting). I've made excellent "fine art" before on it, but graphics are difficult to muster. Their effects really suck as well, and it forces you to utilize your layers well. (Layering is one of the best aspects of the program, IMHO; you can do so much with it).

I don't particually like this one, but someone requested me to make this... (the stock wasn't terrible quality, it was just that you couldn't do anything with it...)

Then why not draw your art? And stop using wrong blending modes. You say you are a graphic designer? Why don't you have adobe products then? You'll need it if you want to go down that career. Or are you just doing these as a hobby? If so get GIMP and be conmans bum chum.

It's rather expensive to buy all of those supplies, especially paints. I can draw and paint, but it's expensive. It's a very advanced program for that kind of stuff

This design stuff is kind of a hobby as well. I've been bored lately and I want to improve. And I know, some of them sucked, I shouldn't have posted them -_-

The bleeding of the program is fine, it's just that you can't do much with graphics but bleed.

Photoshop Is the #1 Product in the market for Graphic Design.
If you Corel's Paint Shop Pro is better than Adobe's Photoshop, You seriously need to learn how to use Photoshop.

Photoshop has many great features, and can be used for touch-ups, Image Creation, Manipulation, Etc.

Anything PSP can do, Photoshop can do Better IMO :D

I agree, Gimp kinda sucks though.. Photoshop is alot better, it's self-contained, It's Easy to use and it's the Original :D

Conclusion... Get Photoshop & Follow some tutorials on-line.
But I do like some aspects in your work.

    \o/ God your funny!
You forgot me munna, you can be my GIMP bum chum as well Jupiter. XD

There are a few professional graphic designers that use GIMP even though PS has more but the extra PS can do is barely going to help in making forum signatures.
I intend to get Illustrator and maybe Photoshop to get into digital art and make some bigger graphics but for now I have been using and I started off with GIMP to make these sort of graphics as its easier to get as its free. It's definitely a good program to start of with as its much more simpler and easier to use.
    Go get GIMP: https://www.gimp.org/

With your graphics, don't use brushes for effects, for effects you should be looking at C4Ds and learning to smudge.
The only brushes you will need are splatter which are very useful and maybe some floral for only very certain types of graphics.

Gimp is quite similar to Photoshop; In that the way the tools work, The biggest difference is the shortcuts that you start to use when you're familiar with Photoshop.

And Yes.. PS is Expensive, But I think it's worth it ^^

Not for him, especially when making forum signatures.

True, I guess it's dependant on what you intend to do with it.
For example, I'm a Web Designer; I used it all the time for Banners, Buttons, Backgrounds, Tiles, Mock Layouts etc; And even the odd Photo-Touchup.

If you're JUST going to use it for Forum Sigs..
    use Gimp :)

I've done some Web Designing and I've used gimp for that too. :D
You can find a lot of GIMP tuts for making certain Web Design images.
The extra PS can do is really for digital art, your own drawings, etc.

Woah, I NEVER said I use Paint Shop Pro - I use a program called Corel Painter X. It's NOTHING like either Photoshop or PSP, because unlike all those programs, it's major goal is to imatate traditional mediums. For example, I may use oils or watercolours when I don't have something to work with. I know how to use Photoshop to an extent, but make sure you actually read what I say before saying something...

Some more "attempts" (I discovered that GIMP is so freaking difficult to work the program that I think I might as well just stick with Corel until I get some other program)
