I've recently been thinking about making a hack unfortunately i lack any hacking skills whatsoever. Basically, i have come up with the idea of a hack where it is "The Story Of Blaine".
Blaine is the gym leader with the most interesting past out of any other. Both the game and the manga give clues as to what it is and they throw up some interesting questions.
Why was Blaine lost in the mountains and why was he saved by Moltres?
Why did this inspire him to specialise in fire pokemon so much?
Why is he such great friends with Mr Fuji?
And was he really involved with Team Rocket's creation of Mewtwo?
All of these questions and more will be the main focus of the first part of the game. My idea is the beginning starts with a cutscene of sorts where Blaine and a friend are on an expedition into the icy cold of the mountains when some sort of disaster occurs which ends in the death of his friend. From this his hatred of the cold is born. he wonders in the wilderness seemingly lost forever until suddenly Moltres appears and rescues him. It is here his love for fire pokemon is born. From there you take control and some sort of storyline will progress.
It is a very rough idea and one that would require a lot of work. It will go through the questions and it will include Blaine's battle with Red on his way to the Pokemon League and the devastation caused by the volcanic eruptions and him moving his gym to Seafoam Islands. Once this is over the game becomes open ended i think either Blaine will travel to another region and you will play as him challenging the gyms like a typical pokemon game or you play as another protagonist who after the e4 meets Blaine and is sent on a dangerous mission to find materials to help rebuild Blaine's gym.
At the moment, i am looking for someone to be a co-producer of the game with me. They need to have a vast amount of hacking knowledge and experience and be able to organise others in creating the game. I will be in charge of the storyline and have the final say on how things look and what people say etc although the co-producer would have input in that side of things if he/she so wishes.
Once a co-producer is found i will be looking for more hackers to work with him/her and if anyone else would like to help me with storyline and everything else etc then that would be appreciated at that time.
