Just starting off-AK47

Well, for some reason I have decided to pick up again my interest in drawing. I dropped it like in 4th grade, not like I was much good back then anyways. But I find myself enjoying it quite much now and I want a little critique from my first two (not really) drawings.

Don't ask me why, but I like the design of the new Pokemon main girl and I decided to do a color recreation based on the low quality beta art.

My drawings are based on a paper sketch then I create the dark lines with GIMP. And the color is my theoretical assumption.

The first spoiler are resizes of the raw scans. The second ones are the final product.

Any tips regarding sketching or digitalization/shading would be appreciated. I have another one but that one I sort of cheated and traced over the beta and then I couldn't get the age to look right then I made her a bit older and...you don't know the rest. XP
