Kanto? Jhoto? Hoen?

    Im a huge pokemon fan and of course I got Pokemon diamond the first day it came out, so I played that for a while but I started missing my Ruby version.
    That is really all I play now, Im more of a Jhoto fan myself, thats why I train my Sunflora, Ampharos and Yanma.

    But anyway, getting to my Question, are there any old school gamers like me out there?
     
    My favorite game is Silver Version. I like the time when I could play with my friends. By the way, got Diamond the first day it came out? Cool. I also have the 2006 version, but bought it later (but did you get it in Japan?). I like the games with large world maps, like Silver version. I hope they'll make a remake of S/G.
     
    My fav was crystal... Ah, the good old days...Ah... Which one was it with like, Silver Mountain, where you could go to Kanto? That was Crystal, right? Oh, and remember fighting PKMN Trainer Red's(Ash Ketchum :P) level 72 Pikachu? Good times, gooooooddd timeeeessss.......

    Yeah, I remember that on my Silver. By the way, Red is not the same as Ash/Satoshi. Or at least I don't think so. There is a manga about Red and Green.
     
    I Loved Gold it was my favorite any way there is a hacked remake of Gold nad silver pokemon shiny gold u can download it
     
    Johto was the best, but I don't play my Gold Silver or Crystal anymore :(
    all I play is pearl.

    Random: I'm making a hack too, that will take place in the Johto region (look out for it)
     
    I buy old games from a game store with used games. I got Yellow for $5 somewhere! I like to play a lot of the old games, the only thing I don't like is that I have to use a different game console.
     
    I really think that the next Pokemon game shouldn't incorporate just one region; rather, it would be extremely satisfying to play all of the Pokemon regions so far. Remember that Gold and Silver were able to not only play through the Johto region, but also the Kanto region.

    Story-wise, Game Freak could do a lot with multiple regions...
     
    I don't know... Maybe I like Kanto the best. It is just so nice.

    I wonder why you guys have problems typing out Johto. Or, it can be just me. Kanto and Johto are easy to remember if you're a Finn:
    * 'johto' means a cord in Finnish.
    * 'kanto' means a stump of a tree in Finnish.
    Check Wiktionary, they know it too. And, Hoenn is also quite easy to remember.
    * The verb 'hokea' means 'to repeat by speaking' and it conjugates into 'hoen' (I repeat). Just add an extra H in its end and voilá!
     
    johto is definetly the best, it isnt like all of the other places, many seasons have repeats of guys ie: kanto: pidgey and evolutions Hoen equivilent:tailow and swellow and sinnoh equivilent: starly and evolutions.

    Johto didnt follow those patterns and is a very original continent
