Kanto Overworld in Pokeemerald?

    Has anyone made an attempt to import FRLG's overworld into Pokeemerald? I want to make a hack based on FRLG but I like the idea of learning some actual programming while I'm at it. But since Pokefirered isn't really up to par with Pokeemerald, I was going to try to just import the FRLG overworld. I've already gotten started with that but figured I should probably see if it's already been done since it will be a pretty tedious task. A search didn't turn anything up so sorry if this is common knowledge already!
