    I was thinking of adding a Lanturn into an UU team I'm coming up with as both a boltbeamer and Special Wall, although I have no idea how to spend the EVs... What I have got is as follows

    Lanturn@Leftovers
    Trait: Volt Absorb
    Calm Nature
    EVs: ?
    -Surf
    -Ice Beam
    -Thunderbolt
    -Confuse Ray/Substitute

    With Volt Absorb, this thing eats Thunderwaves and restores its own HP. Coupled with it's already high Base HP (125) I think it will make a decent addition to my team
     
    Personally, I'd run with Bold Nature.

    Lanturn @ Leftovers
    Ability: Volt Absorb
    EVs: 172 HP / 152 Def / 72 SAtk / 112 SDef
    Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk)
    - Discharge
    - Ice Beam
    - Rest
    - Sleep Talk
    Discharge has that 30% Para chance, and you don't really need Power Attacks when it comes to tanks. Sleep Talk to keep the thing alive.
