Leaf Green, Gyarados or Vaporeon?

I've been building a team up of Pokemon that i never usually use, so far I have a Mankey lvl 12, a Bulbasaur lvl 12, and a Butterfree lvl 11 and i've been thinking about adding a water pokemon but, i'm not sure if which one i should use because i've never used either of them, i like Gyarados, but Vaporeon has good stats..

I need some advice on which to get and maybe a moveset? but i don't need the moveset :P
