    Where do i get a leaf stone in Crystal? I've looked in both the department stores and could not find it! I need it to evolve my Gloom.

    You don'y buy stones in G/S/C, insted peope give them to you, Fisherman Tubby, west of Mahogany town gives you a water stone, The School boy on Route 36 gives you a fire stone, The lass on Route 38 gives you a thunder stone, but I don't know where to get a leaf stone, but to get one you have to get their phone number then they'll call you if thay find somthing.
     
    I think you get the Leaf stone from Picknicker Gina on Route 34.
     
    Trade-Up ^_^ If thats possible...If not then i think your best bet is with Bill's Gramp ^_-
     
    what makes a pokemon evolve with a stone is it the chemical or elements in them???
