I'm sick of Bulbasaur being the butt of all gen 1 starter jokes. Bulbasaur is my favorite Pokemon ever so please stop saying things like "No one likes Bulbasaur.", "Bulbasaur is worthless.", "lol why didn't you choose Charmander?" And more inane, mindless degrading statements such as these.

Just because Bulbasaur doesn't evolve into a stupid looking dragon or a big fat turtle doesn't mean that it isn't an awesome Pokemon in its own right. I'll have you know that grass/poison is amazing type coverage, ESPECIALLY with the introduction of fairies in gen 6. So who's laughing now Bulba haters?

Come on genwunners I thought we were better than this. I ignored the jokes when I was a kid but I am still seeing these comments pop up to this day, even memes are being created to hurt Bulbasaur's reputation. So the next time you feel like hating on the first ever original Pokemon aka Bulbasaur, just think to yourselves... is it really the Pokemon who deserves the hate... or the haters themselves?

I'm glad my original thread was locked. It's more relevant to the Pokemon Gaming Central section anyway. Hopefully the Bulbasaur haters don't ruin it this time.

No offense, but this truly doesn't seem like a discussion, more of an angry rant. Like the others here, I've yet to hear a mean "1st gen starter joke" about Bulbasaur and I don't think I've been living under a rock. Heated rants like this may be suitable material for personal blogs, but I think we'll keep it out of threads. Both to guard against confusion from other members and possible rebuttals to the first poster :) If you have issues with me locking your thread, please contact me directly. But I think you'll understand!

Sorry buddy, but this kind of topic doesn't really fit anywhere here on PC. It doesn't hold much discussion. You could always bring up a similar topic in the Pokémon General DCC, but again I imagine it will be a friutless debate. However, please refrain from posting this thread around the forum, as it was locked once before, and the continuation of doing so would be considered as spam. As Red's Hawt Chibi Pelippers has mentioned, you can contact them about your thread and perhaps work out a compromise of what kind of discussion you could create. For now though, I'll have to lock this one, the same way as the previous. Sorry about that, but keep the Bulbasaur spirit alive in your own way by putting him in your avatar and/or signature if you like!
