leftovers or shell bell

    im just wondering:

    which is better, leftovers or shell bell?

    i put 6 shell bells on my tem, but i dont know if i should replace them with leftovers. please help me. thanks.

    ps- stop calling them lefties!!!

    I use shell bell on all out Attackers as they will be healing more with shell bell than lefties
     
    so it should be:

    pidgeot-leftovers
    due to toxic and whirwlind

    raichu- leftovers

    due to thunderwave and rain dance

    dugtrio- shell bell

    due to earthquake, rock slide, aerial ace and sludgebomb

    vileplume- leftovers

    due to sunny and aromatherapy

    gyarados- leftovers

    due to dragon dance

    charizard- shell bell

    due to flamethrower, aerial ace, dragon claw and earthquake

    It's not like they all have to heal, only if you want them to! And thanks for taking my advice on their moves!
     
    i didnt for the following reasons:

    Pidgeot
    w/ Brightpowder

    Aerial Ace()
    Steel Wing(GAG ME WITH A SPOON BIG TIME!)
    Hidden Power (Ground)(Hmm ok) <-- my pidgeots hidden power is not ground
    Whirlwind(Gag me with a spoon! lol)

    ^Note: I think pigeot should have sub and a berry or something of the sort

    Raichu
    w/ Shell Bell(Petaya berry) <-- dont have any way of obtaining

    Thunder(thunderbolt) <-- theyre both on my team now
    Hidden Power (ice, this is a change) <-- my raichu's hidden power is not ice or water or grass
    Thunder Wave(ok)
    Rain Dance(NO! Substitute) <-- YES!! its form my thunderdance STAB combo!!

    Dugtrio
    w/ Focus Band(leftovers or liechi, maybe) <-- i used shell bell cuz it heals 1/8 hp and works after any move i make

    Earthquake
    Rock Slide
    Sludge Bomb(I don't think so! sub maybe) <-- no! i need it in defense against
    Hidden Power (NO! This has bad special attack!) <-- i replaced it with aerial ace for the same reason as sludge bomb, also cuz its HP wasnt grass or electricity

    Vileplume
    w/ Scope Lens <-- replaced with shell and will be replaced with leftovers

    Solarbeam(filler)
    Hidden Power (ice) <-- its not ice, or rock! but its a type that can take out bug types! (-_-) this was replaced with giga drain, which is a STAB attack, as well as a healer like moonlight
    Aromatherapy(ok, i like it)
    Sunny Day(filler)

    Gyarados
    w/ Leftovers

    Surf(Gyrados has low sp. attack SO NO! Substitute) <-- look: 1. i EV trained its sp atk stat to be around equal with the other stats. 2. even though i own a mew for an hm slave, i use surf to cross waters 3. its a strong water attack
    Earthquake
    Return(Hp flying, stab) <-- indeed a STAB aerial ace works, but with a base of 60 and stab of 90, a return dance combo does alot more. that and since all my pokemon love me (not sexually !_!) gyarados's eturn base does a full 100. with the help of d-dance, its abot 120-140. strong!
    Dragon Dance

    Charizard
    w/ Quick Claw <-- replaced with shell bell

    Flamethrower
    Earthquake
    Dragon claw(not claw dance) <-- ??? either i miselled it wrong, wich i dont think i did or NO! i will not replace an attack for dragon dance, cuz i dont want to breed my starter!!!

    I think the Shell Bell is most effective when you attach it to a Pokemon that knows Swords Dance/Bulk Up/Growth/Calm Mond/etc. Sweepers to be more exact. BUT I still like Leftovers more.
     
    I only use Shell Bell on my GBA because theres not enough lefties. (I have 3 and Im still not happy :)) The only time I even consider shell bell is on my Mewtwo, due to the fact that it is one of my highest attackers and has recover already.
     
    If you have high HP and a bunch of stalling/tanking moves, leftovers is the way to go.
    If you have low HP/high defenses and a slew of attacking moves (and maybe Swords Dance/CM), then Shell Bell may very well recover more HP than Leftovers. My Exploud uses a Shell Bell.
     
    i put leftovers on my pidgeot, raichu, vileplume and gyarados. they all use non-attack moves first and i know my opponents will attack first so i have a way of letting them recover slightly. as for my sweepers, dugtrio and charizard, they use shell bell since they attack every move
