Legendaries in Battle

Do you consider it unfair for one person to have a team of regular pokemon and the other to have 5 regular and one legendary pokemon?

The person with all regulars would happen to be me while the other person happens to be my best friend.
I use:
-Infernape
-Staraptor
-Bronzong
-Luxray
-Whiscash
-Roserade

He uses:
- Empoleon
- Luxray
- Staraptor
- Houndoom
- Gallade
- Annnnnnnddddddd:a really good SHAYMIN!! >:(
He for some reason thinks its perfectly fair for him to use legendaries while I do not. What do you think?

I dont mind they can be easily beaten, after all they do have weaknesses

Well, it depends.
If they had an entire team of legendarys, then it would be unfair.
One legendary isn't that bad. Also, all the legendarys do have weaknesses, so they aren't unbeatable.

It would also help if you stated E.V's and Movesets and such. If you post that, then I might be able to really decide how unfair/fair it is.

the most I'll battle an opponent with legendaries are two per a team. But like what MXP said, they can be defeated

In my opinion, it's completely fair. Especially if it's just ONE legendary! Isn't that better than facing a whole team of legendaries?

The reason I think it's fair is because anybody can go out and catch Giratina. It's just in the Turnback Cave (or Distortion World for Platinum players). So, if you think it's so "unfair" because other players have Giratina and you don't, then why haven't you gone and caught Giratina yourself? Then you'll also have one to use and everybody will be happy. ^^ Is that still not fair?

I used Giratina as an example, but it's that way with every legendary (except maybe Arceus, you currently can't get it without cheating or hacking or trading). That's just how I feel about it, though...

I don't like facing a team with more than two, but I still think it's fair. A Pokemon is a Pokemon, legendary or not.

If you agains a full team of legendaries, and they are stronger than your pokemon, then yeah I guess that would be unfair, but they have weaknesses, your Luxray could have easily defeated Shaymin with an electric attack, or your infernape with fire attack before your friend's Shaymin could take it out.

Legendary or not, its still able to beat, in shaymin's case, Staraptor, infernape, or roserade.

I'd say it depends. If they have a team of all legendaries, yeah, it's pretty unfair. But just one is okay. Like Anxiety said, they all have weaknesses and can be beaten.
