2nd Gen Legendary's Not Normally Obtainable.

When i was in primary school, I was always bringing my Pokemon games to school. At this point in time i recently was given Pokemon Silver by my mother. One day when i was on the bus home my friend that i used to sit with said he would like my Feraligatr, Which was in its high 90's
I remember asking him what he would give me for it, He said; 'I have Celebi & A shiny Mew nicknamed Jasper' I said awesome. So i cloned Feraligatr right there, He did the same with he's Mew & Celebi..

When i got off the bus i ran straight to my friends house who lived up the street from me.
He was about 5 years older than me, And had a much more knowledge when it came to Pokemon.
(& Pretty much everything else)

When i showed him the Pokemon i had received straight away he said its not possible that i have this Pokemon. (Celebi) I just looked at him blank expression.. -.-

He then stated that he's read about all the legendary Pokemon on the internet and that Celebi is only possible to capture through a Japanese game or cheating. I thought i was quite clever for having one.
I then asked him about Mew, He said we both could catch it on our Red & Yellow versions. And we both were surprised that it was shiny.

So guys, Did any of you ever catch any legendary Pokemon that weren't in the game normally?

Maybe you obtained a celebi like me, Or maybe you had your Zapdos traded over from your RBY games.. When you originally played RBY did you know about the Mew glitch?

As someone that didn't get to play either RBY or GSC in their actual prime time, no, I didn't have anything that wasn't supposed to be in the game. I have, however, played a Crystal ROM and gave myself a shiny Celebi, since I was never able to have one in gen II legally. It was good fun. <3

I remember borrowing my friend's Gameshark back when I played Gold, since I wanted to have a Mewtwo on my team, but could never figure out how to get the Time Capsule to work properly. I ended up messing something up, though, and eventually had to restart my game, since a few of my Pokemon were getting replaced by Bad Eggs. I would've loved to have been able to get a legit Celebi on my game, though, since the Ilex Shrine seemed to serve no purpose otherwise (at least, in non-Japanese versions).

I recieved a hacked Deoxys onto my Emerald game. I still have it. I think it is on my Platinum atm. Lv 100. I know it's not a legit Pokemon but I still love having it.
