Hi guys, just wanted to share a (potentially) interesting discovery I made while playing Drayano's Pokemon Blaze Black 2 hack.
In Black Tower, (spoilers), while I was fighting Benga at the top of Area 10, he set out a series of level 102-105 Pokemon. Normally, I suspect that these Pokemon would be at level 100, but Challenge Mode might have made them higher. The battle went perfectly game-wise, with no glitches, freezes, or anything. The Pokemon even seemed to be moreWith my level 100 EV-trained legendary team they weren't too difficult, but more importantly, I am wondering if this means it is possible to make a ROM hack with Pokemon levels higher than 100 (like 110-255). IIRC Black 2 uses a single byte to store the level, so in principle, we could have any level between 1-255 (stats permitting), and the level curve could easily be extended to 120 without issues in the hack (assuming no other issues). Am I just over my head, or is this actually important? Thanks!
