3rd Gen LG underleveled

I don't understand why I'm so underleveled. My pokemon are about 34-40, and I'm around Giovanni's gym. (lvl 50 articuno is excluded)

Can someone please explain why everyone elses' are around level 45-50?

I have a level 40 charizard
lvl 35 starmie
lvl 36 fearow
lvl 38 snorlax
lvl 50 articuno
lvl 35/32 butterfree/lapras

oh, and btw, does my party suck?

Well maybe u dodged some Trainers ??
Also u have 4 fliers : Fearow , Butterfree , Charizard , Articuno.

I'd restart the game and battle everyone I see (nuff said ) .

Wow... I just beat Giovanni like an hour ago or so. My team was:
-Rhyhorn lvl 28
-Flareon lvl 42?
-Blastoise lvl 45
-Mr. Mime lvl 52?
-Electrode 43?
-Dodrio lvl 41

Yeah... I beat him easily. Exact levels will be posted as my GBA recharges.

Electric can blow you up. Only Snorlax can survive against electric. Catch a Zapdos and Nidorino, remove Pidgeot/Fearow and Butterfree. Also evolve your Eevee to Jolteon. And your team does suck really.

I blame the game D:

I don't know why the levels are so high in Kanto games. They can't expect people to want to grind that much just to keep up with the leaders, ect.

Team help thread. Use it. Also, while I'm at the thread anyway, try training in the Sevii Islands. You can go there after defeating Blaine, which I'm going to assume you've already done.
