We have Pokemon games based on a trainer. You get the gym badges, battle the elite four and then you become champion.

Then we also have a game where we focus on the lives of the Pokemon instead of the trainer in the Pokemon world.

    What about coordinators...?

Do you think that they will eventually make a game based on coordinators instead of trainers? They have characters take that path in the anime so why not make a game about it?

Would you like one to be made? Would you play it?

I don't think so to be honest. Seems like they gave up on pokemon contests after Gen 4. But now with ORAS coming out, maybe contests will be making a comeback. If the feedback about the contests are good, then maybe nintendo would consider a spin off or something, but it seems unlikely.

It doesn't really sound like it would be that successful, unfortunately. :( Even if they do wind up making a game based off coordination, they would still have to implement some trainer elements here and there (such as capturing and releasing Pokémon) to actually make it work. Even then, I don't really see much people getting into it; including me.

I would probably die and buy three copies if they made a game from the point of view of a coordinator, but not enough people would be as into it as me haha, so I doubt they would even consider developing such a game. Of course, I think it'd be amazing and a much-needed twist from the regular Pokemon game story line.

I would love the opportunity to play a game based on the life of a Pokemon Coordinator. Back when Sapphire came out I absolutely adored the contests, trying to find the best Pokemon to beat the contests and finding out different move combinations.

Gen IV ruined contests in my opinion. A lot of the contest aspects were changed and there was no way to sabotage your opponents, which took a lot of the fun away from the contest.
