You awaken to a bright flash across the horizon. There's only one thing that could be: the atomic bomb has been dropped. Fearful for your life, you quickly gather some clothes, a knife, a gun, and several cans of whatever was in your pantry and stick it in your basement. Then, you turn on your television and every channel but Cartoon Network and the Weather Channel is on, all the rest is a bright red screen with the words "DANGER: DESTRUCTION EMINENT" plastered across it. You already knew this was coming because your TV, which was hooked up to Comcast cable, had been running drills with that exact same screen for around six months now. So, since Pokemon was on Cartoon Network, you turn it there and keep your eyes glued to the television screen for half the episode until a loud screeching noise emitted from it and a news broadcast played. "We have received reports from Washington that an atomic bomb has been dropped on Los Angeles, California and mutations are starting to ensue," the lady calmly spoke, "If you are still alive and well in the LA area, lock your doors and windows and wait for emergency services to arrive. Do not leave your househo-" You shut off the television and run to the basement and grab your bag. No way where you staying here if mutations, no zombies, are coming to kill the neighboring human population.
You head out the door and get in your car, as you drive through the hot desert, you notice a group of people walking behind you.
