I was just thinking this because of trying to get to the Photography School thread that I'm a part of, and trying to remember who made it and go to their profile, check their threads, or go to the forum itself and going back till I find it. I was thinking of the best way to get there, and every way was a pain. And then I was wondering why there were no official clubs area on the profile.

The way I was thinking of it was a bit more than the Claims section though, with the text and a link to the thread in question instead of just a normal list. However, the mods don't have to keep track of every club. There could either be a bbcode enabled box to put them in so you can link yourself, or a link box connected to the Title box so you can put a link on it if you want.

I'm not sure if I'm making much sense because I'm tired but I just thought it would be a nice addition.

Well, you can subscribe to the thread so it appears in the usercp (by clicking on thread tools & subscribe to thread), though I do think that would be easier for advertising/general interest purposes and not so much being easier to access.

I know there was space on your profile for social groups and the old PC user groups, but those were specialised functions of PC and not actual links, so I don't know if that can be done. Though since Photography School isn't considered a "group" as far as PC's forums go, it'd have to be links to anything, and not just clubs (as long as it's a link to something on PC) and could save signature space. Don't know if it's possible though :(

That sounds immensely useful! Right now, I think the best you can do is just bookmark those threads. It's equally as helpful if you don't have many bookmarks to begin with, and all you need to do is keep track of the threads.

Bookmarking threads can get pretty clumsy. At least on firefox, there is a suggestion bar popping under your address bar when you type stuff. If you go to the thread 20 times or something like that it will get a pretty high view count in your browsing history, so the next time you want to view it you can simply start writing its name (page title, not url) on the address bar, and it will pop up as a suggestion.

We sorta considered this but we'd actually have to go in and modify code/make a plugin for it which... none of us really have the time/drive to do right now. D: We were gonna repurpose the Social Groups to do essentially this (link to Clubs/work as a memberlist for them) but it was just a lot of work for something that would only sort of work without more effort than we had to put into it.

It's definitely on the wall of "things to do maybe possibly one day" but I'm not sure it'll happen.

Best suggestion I have is just thread subscriptions.

...In the meantime, why not just include a plain old profile field for you to list the clubs you like to go to?

Whoa, I didn't think something would be done about the suggestion so quickly. Thanks xD I did end up just subscribing to the thread, never used it before so it's easy to get to, so while it would still be nice, I can understand how it's not built-in and it's not important enough to worry about atm. :3
