Below is a map I got from Bulbapedia that shows where the main pokemon regions are based in:
There is not much space left in Japan for them to make another region here, and we have not even counted the orange islands, battle towers, battle frontiers, pokemon ranger regions and shadow pokemon game regions.
I theorize that the Isshu region will be based off of the coast of America. A city with a lot of technological advancement could be New York or California. There are some rural towns too, which could take place in southern parts of America.
Where do you think the Isshu region is in relation to the real world?
