looking for a battling mentor

hey poke-peeps, i'm a long time poke-enthusiast but in all these years I've never broken on to the battling scene. I'm primarily a breeder who prides himself in breeding pokemon with all the trimmings just to trade to people and make them happy. What I would really like though is to breed my own team to battle with, only thing is I don't really know all that much past type weakness and the fact that speed makes you go first (thats just basic turn based mechanics) I know how the pokemom work in terms of IV and EV's., I just need some coaching on team building.

I am currently still in Y but I'm gonna start playing ORAS and start transfering stuff over as soon as I can sop i can start battling in the current meta.

The only restriction on the team is that I'd really like to use gengar or one of the rotom formes, the rest I'd like to devise with someone who knows there way around a pokemon battle.


If you have the spare time to help me build a team that would be amazing. If you could teach me what is great about this team and how to use it properly, that would also be amazing.

Right now any help would be great, even just getting a team down on paper that I can start breeding would be a lot of help for me.
