Looking for Legendary Pokemon

Ok, so this is the deal. I am currently working on getting all of the Legendary Pokemon for my collection in Pokemon Y. My current main goal is to get a Mew. I'm not looking at just having it registered in my Pokedex. I am looking to own. From what I have been told, you have to find someone willing to trade it and not from the GTS. Anyone looking to trade? Or do you have any suggestions to finding one? I don't see them doing an event anytime soon.
