Loosing a battle

    I'm new to using Pokemon essentials, I looked around but could not find an answer but I apologize if I missed it. Is there a way to make a battle the player is supposed to loose? Once they loose it triggers the next event instead of transferring them to a Pokemon center?

    There is no way to make the player loose in essentials, what you can do is give someone an over powered pokemon, and then once the player loose you can use the next events by setting one of the variables to true or false, I don't remember which one.

    Ah, can't believe I didn't think of variables. Another quick question if you don't mind me asking. After a battle is over is there a way to instantly start new dialog and events? What I mean is right after the battle have the trainer walk away talk etc? I've tried and it never works. Although i'm going to try using variables and see if I can get something going.

    That is what I ment, setting one of the values to true. Try to search for "CanLose" in essentials, and see in which spot of the ","'s is it in, then once you are going to do a trainer battle set that to true.

    Got it to work. When I use Rpg maker vx I never really used Variables so the thought never crossed my mind to use them here. Thanks for the help, really appreciate it.
