Hi Everyone,
I did post in the in the New User's Hangout but thought I would make a separate post here to introduce myself a little more completely...
I am new to Pokemon and the forums. I just purchased the US version of Diamond and I'm really into it!! Pokemon is great. I had forgotten how much fun the games are. The last one I played was the US Red version way, way, way back. I didn't get very into it at the time but now I just can't seem to put Diamond down. I also find myself thinking about it a lot while I'm at work and can't play...
Anyway, maybe a little more about me sans Pokemon...
I'm 25 and my name is Chad. I guess I'm what you'd call your run-of-the-mill culture addict. Currently, I live outside Philadelphia, PA with my other half in a great little house. I work at a university in the city and am now pursuing my Master's in Information Systems and Higher Education Administration. I received my BA in Anthropology and Foreign Languages and Literatures.
I have way too many hobbies and interests to list but, as a culture addict, you can bet that my interests are influenced in some way, shape or form by culture. That narrows it down, doesn't it?! More specifically, some of the things that I am interested in are: video games, manga, anime, reading, writing, photography, travel, cooking/baking, architecture, art, music, mythology, anthropology, religion, environmentalism, fair trade, camping, hiking, gardening and knitting. I am quite obsessed with pop culture, especially of the Japanese variety. Yes, I am a dork and proud of it!!
All that aside, I'm interested in meeting some great people here who love Pokemon (and maybe some of my other interests). If you own Diamond or Pearl, I'd love to trade, battle and/or chat sometime. My friend code is my signature; just let me know!!
