I've done a bit of thinking about this.

Okay, so what I think is:
    Mew killed Lucario.

If Mew hadn't stolen Pikachu away, then Ash would never have went searching for it. If Ash hadn't gone, the tree wouldn't have gone crazy with its antibodies and implode. If the tree hadn't begun imploding, Lucario would not have to have sacrificed itself to save the tree.

Chances are it might happen again, with some other Pokemon... Who would be Mew's sacrifice then? WHEN WILL THE MADNESS END?!

    What do you think?

Suppose your bike gets stolen, according to your statements, the thief's parents should be blamed? Because if they never gave birth to the thief, the bike would never be stolen.

Mew abducting Pikachu and Rukario dying are at best very remotely connected.

Uh, it's a chain reaction, it's a story, Lucario was fulfilling its destiny? Mew, as we've occasionally seen, is a child and somewhat careless in its destruction (the Birth of Mewtwo CD Drama with Miyamato). Not intentional, but disaster happens with it, sometimes. But I wouldn't blame it for everything, and not even this Mew. Besides, if you think it's guilty, then didn't it atone when it deactivated the Tree of Beginning's defenses for the humans? Hm?

The tree's defenses only activated because of that girl's camera/helicopter things.
