"Machinima is the use of real-time computer graphics engines to create a cinematic production. Most often video games are used to generate the computer animation."
Machinima is something I've been interested in for awhile, watching Red vs. Blue a long time ago. Film is something that is pretty hard to set up and takes a lot of pre-production work of various fields and is hard to "practice". Even 3D animation is very hard to set up/render. However, the thought of being able to control characters from a video game and work it like a set seems like an interesting way to get into a medium that would otherwise be difficult to crack into. If you fancy yourself a little shy, you could emote with your game character instead!
With the introduction to VR, this is especially interesting.

What do you think about machinima as an art/film form? What is it's future?
