Magmortar = Buck????

Ok, so I was wandering around to get to a pokemon center to trade away my Poketopia Magmortar, and I noticed something....

....is it just me, or does that thing have a startling resemblance to Buck?

(maybe Flint's Magmortar is actually Buck battling you!):P

Have you guys noticed any other simliarities between pokemon and characters?

Maybe buck is trying to look like Magmortar?
Cynthia kinda resembles an Umbreon, but once agian, I believe that is intentional.
