First off, I'm not sure if this is an appropriate question for this forum, but it seems like the best place to ask it, so bear with me.

This is my first post here, and I have a major problem with my Leaf Green game emulated in "My Boy!" GBA emulator for Android. Long story short, I wanted to start a new GBA Pokemon game, but I wanted to start with Cyndaquil as one of my first Pokemon because it is one of my favorites. Therefore, I simply used an Action Replay hack code to encounter a wild Cyndaquil, and this solution seemed to work fine. However, I ran into trouble when it began to evolve into Quilava, because apparently the game will not let non-Kanto Pokemon evolve unless the player has already obtained the National Pokedex. I seemed to successfully circumvent this problem simply by using Action Replay codes to hack in the National Dex. I did not discover any harmful in-game side-affects from this hack until now, in Vermillion city - when I went to initiate a battle with Lt. Surge, he replied as if I had already battled him, and he gave me advice and the Shockwave TM. However, I do not yet have the badge from his gym, and there is no in-game record of me ever battling him. Why would this happen? My natural instinct is to think that this is somehow related to me hacking in the National Dex, although I already had the National Dex when I battled Misty without a problem. Does anyone have any advice as to what is going on here?

Also, I don't know if I'm allowed to ask this in this forum, but is there any sort of Action Replay code to force a gym leader to battle?

The game bugged out when you used the action replay codes, since i have experiences with that emulator, the pro version of the emulator get wrong the codes, i mean if u entered the code(copy/paste) the emulator will run out the code and bug out any game, i dont know why the emulator screw up the games when you use the codes.
Other thing would be that you haven't deleted the code from the Cheats option, and that's why the game screw up

Can be one of the two things.

I currently have all codes disabled, so I don't think that's the problem. I'm not sure what you mean about the emulator getting the wrong codes, because all the codes functioned properly when I entered them.

Unfortunately, it's against the rules to give out AR codes here. :/ You'll have to Google them.

    Locked.
