    Hmm... very interesting...

It does look as though history is repeating itself, in which case.. Ash will probably end up in the top 4 .. which isin't all that bad.. I guess...

Maybe he will beat Tetsuya? I'm not sure... I guess it's all up to the producers to decide what postition Ash will end up...

Yeah well I can see it happening if Satoshi beats Masamune, I think he will definately face Tetsuya and actually there is 16 people there, so the next match would be top 8.

Well I check Seribii and it seem that they will figth each other.

Knowing them. They let history repeat itself and Ash will be beaten by Masamune. Which has happen in the past. Ash makes friends with some guy. He gets beat in the yop whatever.

This would be an nice twist. If Ash does beats Masamune. It proves that he has gotten MUCH better since his Silver Cup Conference. If he makes the top two then I be rooting for him.

But Ash my lose because the creaters my not want to creat another character. But only time will tell so like they say in the TV world. Stay tune!

Okay here is what I think will happen,

According to sources, Scruffy is stunned and will have trouble. If they can fit a 5 vs. 5 battle in one episode, looks like Scruffy is going to be easy pickem's for Ash.

But what if Grovyle evolves into Sceptile? He may have been shown without a twig but what if he can't find the next best thing (a branch)?

(Scruffy is my nickname for Masumune)

Yep I think history will repeat itself.it makes sense.

Don't read this if you hate spoilers:

After the battle with Masamune, Ash goes to the Battle Frontier, so he's going to lose to Masamune. I think he ends up throwing the fight so Masamune can win, but Masamune definitely wins. So, in response to the title 'It's happening again...', yes. Yes it is.

The last epiode in the Hoenn Saga (so far) looks like it involves Professor Oak calling every Pallet Town Trainer back to his lab for something, but I don't know what. I may be reading too much into this, but I'm pretty sure he wouldn't call the Pallet Trainers back from the different Regions unless there was a darn good reason. That's all I know though.

I refuse to believe that he loses to Masamune until I have seen it with my own eyes. You seem to have forgotten about AG131.

    AG130 Rival Showdown! VS. Masamune!
AG131 Conclusion to the Fierce Fighting! The Road to the Championship!!
AG132 Enishida (Scott) & The Battle Frontier!
AG133 Oak's Laboratory! The Whole Crew Gathers!

Edit: I hope this is true ^^
Well, until the review thread is posted, I only have 5 minutes so I'll say what I found out from 'Ani: Ash does beat Masamune. Tetsuya's team next week consists of Sceptile, Meowth, Metagross, Donphan... Shiftry, Hariyama.

Well, if it is, then the Masamune battle is two episodes, and after 132, the Hoenn League is over for Ash. If he doesn't lose to Masamune, then he loses to Scott (which defies Game Mechanics again since the Battle Frontier is on the other side of the Hoenn Region. Maybe he just makes reference to it...). I was just thinking about the Masamune thing because at this point, Ash is having a sort of inner struggle.

If that quote is true he probably battles Tetsuya after Masamune.

Yeah, it would be that... Scott already lost before...

So, Ash loses to Tetsuya then. But the point is that he's going to lose either against Masamune, or the one after Masamune.

Maybe he will and maybe he will not for all we know AG131 which airs after 2 weeks without episodes the same as Haruka's festival could be longer than a normal episode and for all we know Satoshi could win the League. I will not assume anything until I see it with my own eyes.

Don't forget, Ash could still win, in Emerald if you lost to Wallace in the E4, do you go to the Battle Frontier? No, so he could win, don't forget:

Tetsuya has a Meowth, Metagross, Sceptile, and a Donphan. If Ash could beat a Beldum and a Metang, Metagross will be no problemo! Ice types are good against Steel types and Glalie is an ice type so this shall be easy!

Okay, the rest of his team is Shiftry and Haryiama. Ash has battled these ones before, once in "Jump for Joy" saving a Nurse Joy from a Shiftry, and he had to battle Haryiama in his battle against Brawly to win the Knuckle badge to get here.

I think Ash has battled Donphan before in Johto (did he do it in the AG Donphan ep?), and he has battled evo's of Metagross (Scruffy's), He might have trouble with Sceptile but if something big happens (uses Corphish and it evolves into Crawdaunt), he might have a chance.

So in 130, he's going to continue battling Masamune right?

I think he'll beat Masamune in that one, but then he'll lose to Tetsuya in 131. They'd have to squeeze a lot on one episode for Satoshi to win...

WE'RE ROOTING FOR YOU SATOSHI! ^__^

    I just saw AG130.

I noticed something, I know it would be top 8 again. However it would be that he made it to the third round and in one of the first eps of Hoenn he was talking about how he made it to the second round in Johto. If that is true then regardless if he loses or wins he made it one round further than Johto.

However he did make that second round comment in the dub so I hope it is accurate.

I was wondering, is this the last season of Pokemon? Satoshi has to win, he hasn't won in any major leagues, that includes Johto and Indigo. You can't keep making Satoshi lose every single time he enters a league, and then make him only win in little minor league competitions as a consolation prize.
