Here's what my Lead Roserade is:

    Ability: Natural Cure
    Item: Focus Sash

    MovesetEVs~ Sleep Powder
    ~ Toxic Spikes
~ Leaf Storm / Grass Knot
    ~ Hidden Power Fire
    4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe

Yeah, so I'm pretty new with this team building stuff.

I always mess up when making the team, so I thought I' ask you guys what other Pokemon I'd add to my team to make it work.

I'd like to stay away from legendaries since they're way overpowered and overused.

Any other Pokemon is fine. Please and thanks.

^_^ Just make sure you have good type coverage. Having two Pokemon of the same type = bad in my opinion. I recommend Crobat and Marowak as two of the Pokemon. XD I'm extremely happy with Marowak (EV trained in Attack & Sp. Def & Speed), earlier today he took out a Psychic team my friend made all on his own.

A good stratagy is to have a pysical and a special sweeper, and a baton pass.Such as:

    Metagross-Adament:Clear Body@Chioce Band
    ~Meteor Mash
    ~Zen Headbutt
    ~Rock Slide/Earthquake
    ~Earthquake/Explosion

    EVs:252-Atk,252-Spd,4-HP

    Gardiveor-Modest:Trace@Choice Specs
    ~Psychic
    ~Focus Blast
    ~Energy Ball
    ~Shadow Ball

    EVs:252-Sp. Atk,252-Spd,4-Def

    Ninjask-Jolly:Speed Boost@Sitrus Berry/Leftovers
    ~Protect
    ~Substitute
    ~Baton Pass
    ~X-sizzor/Roost

    EVs:252-Spd,152-HP,104-Def

And for a limited time only, you can VM me and I'll go in to it more specificly.

Since you're going with a Toxic Spiking Roserade in the lead, I'm assuming your overall strategy is to put two layer of it up, and stall everything that switches in, right?

In that case there are a couple of counters to that strategy that you should prepare for.

-Rapid Spin gets rid of Spikes, making your Roserade's work all in vain. Counter it with a Ghost-type pokemon of you're choice. Dusknoir seems like the best choice becasue of how tankish he is, making him fully capable of stalling anythoung out.

-Steel-and poison-type pokemon will absorb the spikes. Just find pokemon that get STAB with their weaknesses (fire, ground, and fighting for steel/psychic and ground for poison). I'd recommend Infernape for Fire/Fighting, your ground-type of choice, and a psychic pokemon that can also support.

-Flying and levitating pokemon will avoid the spikes. This is easily fixed by packing Gravity on the psychic attack from before.

Timbjerr has a point, a ghost really would help you out. Not only can it work around Rapid Spin on Spikes, but also, it can cover Roserade's weakness to Psychic moves.
In my opinion, Dusknoir is your best bet because of his high Defensive stats. Avoid Gengar at ALL COSTS because he's also weak to Psychic, which is one reason why you'd put him on the team!! D:
Mismagius is OK, but cant is more of an attacker then a defender.
    Which is perfectly fine.
