Ok... I'm wondering how to make my pokemon moves stronger. I looked up some stuff and I'm not sure that this is corect... but w/e...

Let's say that one has a Charizard. If you teach him Blast Burn... I'm wondering if the power gets upped by 1.5% because of the move type is the same as the Pokemon type... so the 150 base power would be raised to 225?... and if you attach charcoal... which ups fire type moves by 10%... will blast burn's base power be upped to 247.5???

    Thanx 4 da help...

Yes it would. And here's a better way to raise the power of moves for Generation 4. (physical only):

    Guts+Toxic Orb

ok... thanx... but could you please explain how that guts+toxic orb thing works???

    gracias

OK. Guts ups your pokemon's Physical Attack by 50% if it is suffering from a condition such as Poison, Paralysis or Burn, and the Toxic Orb item poisons its holder, (a useless item in most cases), triggering Guts. This trick basically leads to a Choice Band-level boost without the attack restrictions. There is also a Flame Orb which burns the holder but since being burned halves your Attack, it is useless for this combo.

ok... would this even boost charizards attack even more??? So his base attack is 247.5 and he attacks a steel/bug type pokemon(such as scizor), which multiplies the attack by 4... so it would bring up the base attack to 990... and if he gets a critical hit... it multiplies by 2... so the new base attack would be 1980!!!... is this correct... it seems outrageous to me...

    thanx...

    Welcome to STAB and weakness/resist?

The moves are stronger when they have a type advantage or some sort of ability advantage...

yea... lol... n lets say that charizard is low on health and his ability kicks in... where fire type moves are multiplied by 1.5... so the 1980 base attack get boosted up to 2970... lololololol... thats tyt
