Male Character's Name?

i was just thinking about stuff (meaning of life, space time continuem, etc.), and i happened to wonder what they call the male character if you choose the female character. is it ash? because i know they call the female character dawn in the game if you choose the male

wow, how totallllly lame. although i guess it's sacriligous to name anyone ash in the game other than a character of your own, because otherwise he wouldn't be "the very best like no-one ever was"

i know lol..its kind of odd that pikachu is able to do all this awesome stuff at the end of each season but then at the beginning of the next one he sucks... really bad.
