Hi all, I just started reading manga after 10 years of not touching it. (used to read Doraemon and Dragonball when I was small)

Anyways, I want some quick advice. I love mangas like Lova Hina and Chobits, does anybody know if there are similar mangas in the same genres that I should read? Thx thx ^_^

Ghost In The Shell, Full Metal Alchemist, Yu-Gi-Oh!, and FLCL are good mangas. I recomend getting those.

Hmm... I never very good with recommending books and manga, I haven't read Love Hina or Chobits, so I don't know the genre. I think you should try Ranma 1/2 or Tenchi Muyo.

Let's see, shouldn't be to hard...

If you can get past the choppy art (it was done in the 50s by one man with literally only pen and paper) Cyborg 009 would be a good read. One of the longest if not the longest running manga ever. The stories are great and really sends across some deep meanings, and wasn't really cookie cutter like most stuff today.

Azu Manga Daioh would be good for something lite hearted and easygoing. The stories are just loosely based on four highschool girls and each chapter is about a page long....so each volume has about 200 chapters.

Hmmm. Maybe you would like some of CLAMP's other work, such as Magic Knight Rayearth or Cardcaptor Sakura? I guess that depends on whether you like the magical girls genre or not, though. I think Peach Girl is a romance series without magic, if that's the kind of thing you want. I've never read it, though, so don't blame me if that's a bad recommendation. ^^; I don't care much for romance or romantic comedies... I prefer magical girls shows and shounen stuff.

KareKano is a good Romance and Full Metal Panic is one of the better mecha.

I collect these titles and they are pretty good:

Inuyasha, DBZ, Pokemon Special, Yu Yu Hakusho, Kenshin, Slam Dunk

Haha thanks for the recommendations. Looks like I am gonna be broke lol. Buying manga and then having to pay off university tuition... good thing there's co-op.

Anyways, back to topic. I think Marik4me got what I meant. Romance comedy manga without the magic girl stuff *shivers*. Clamp's work... ya I should take a look at those.

I think why I like Love Hina is because of its comedy, adding onto some touchy stuff... really fun to watch. Chobits because the "where to draw the line of what to love and what not".

Any recommendations please let them come :D:D:D
