    This one's about the Pres Elections, I just got a PM asking me to vote for someone, who I'll not mention. It also said I'd get repped if I did, and isn't that like uh.. blackmailing or something? And reps are gone now anyway, so even if you do have to cheat, why with reps?

    I'm not telling names ~yet~, but please, don't PM random people for your votes. I'm new *coughnotreallycough* here, for crying out loud. Sheesh.

    It's against the rules, you'll have to PM me and tell me who did it, and I'm going to have to take them out of the election.
     
    Well, i think it'd be un-fair if someone who is running FRIEND did that, without the runners permisson, then they are taken off for no reason, that would be unfair....
     
    Give me their names and I'll disqualify them. It's against the rules and it merits disqualification. I'll have to punish the person, too...

    Like i said, what if the person running friend did it? Why would they be disqalfied if they didn't ask them first?
     
    There's no proof the runner didn't ask the person first. x_x
     
    =/ PiroMunkie did that to me last year, though I felt bad I did rat him out and it is worth a fair voice to be taken out because you blackmailed someone , and last time I checked advertising out of a advertising thred was againced the rules when I first joined this forum ^^; So in a way wether your adversing yourself or a forum like SPPf =/ it shouldint be aloud. I would never do that anyways cause it really it cheeting and pressuring people on who to vote for ^_~ couce a simple"Can you vote for me?" never hurts.

    I believe friend or no friend they should be taken out of the election.
     
    It's stated in the rules that they can't ask someone to vote for them through posts, rep or PMs, unless it's in a post in their own campaign/party thread, so that person should be disqualified.
     
    Meh.. I'll just say who they wanted me to vote for, and that was Paul.

    But eh, like Zapchu said, it was probably advertising in a way. Anyway, I'm not ratting anyone out, and don't disqualify anyone. Lets see if anyone PMs anyone else for votes, and then the mods can take action for repeating this way of getting votes?

    It's still against the election rules, whether Paul did it or somebody else. o_o;

    I guess that's the price you pay when everyone supports you, as we all know some people pay absolutely no regard to the rules.

    And likewise, there's no proof that the runner (Paul) asked that person. D:

    It's a pity that some people don't read the rules, though... hang on, if another person asking them can get them kicked out, what's to stop a supporter of someone else PMing someone to vote for another candidate, and getting that candidate kicked out?

    This doesn't work...
     
    I know. I just sorted it out. I'd greatly appreciate it if no one discussed it for the sake of the members involved.

    By the way, the rule is arguable, but I didn't add that bit, so don't hate me. ;_;
     
    i think the rules only said that you can't try to get votes using rep as bait. i don't remember anything about your supporters... though now we don't have any bait to hold above the undecideds' heads, so it's really no big deal.
     
    Yeah, I've been talking to Kylie on MSN, and thats just the thing.

    Dude will have to be disqualified, and Dude 2 will have to be punished.

    They say Paul was winning, but the poor guy will have to be dissed now. He should've checked to see if some of his supporters were not following rules.
     
    He can't invade other people's inboxes --; And JA raised a really good point. I *could* change the rule because of JA's point - not out of bias, I'd do this for anyone, because that point is a really good point - but technically, I don't have the seniority to.

    I'll talk to Jorge about this, but right now, I'm going to lock this for the reason stated in my last post.
