It is very rare I was lucky to run into it. It was long before I cheated. Oh crap yeah plz some one move this to fire red!

i did hear abouta cheat for getting mew:
-get surf
-get strenght
-don't sail the S.S.AN
-beat misty
_______________________
1.wateva u do don't sail the s.s.an
2.atfter u have surf & strentgh
3.go to the port at s.s.an
4.then surf to the side witch has the truck on it
5.use strenght on the truck
6.there should be a pokeball anouther the truck inside it will be mew
7.battle mew.lv100

yeah that cheat just might be true. but i did not do any of.that i just went to the masters cave to train and right where Mewtwo was BAM!!! Mew apeared i hadent cheated until way after that. i spent alot of time in that cave and eventualy i bumped into mew. nintendo was worng you can bump into mew but its very rare. but i was lucky

It's not true. That's just something Nintendo put there for some odd reason.

Ture,cause in cheatplanet u c theres a lot stuff on mew,since mew can be caught in many ways,so i must agree mew is a glitch!

Unless you ARE lying & used a cheat Via AR/GS, yes Mew is a glitch...(we're talking FireRed?) If we are talking about FireRed than Yes, Mew is a major glitch.
