I found out how to catch Mew!
In red, Blue, and yellow, you can catch Mew. What you do is go to Cerulean City, and go up the Nugget Bridge. At the top, you turn left and sit above the guy standing in the grass. Right has you go into his battle range, you press start. If you get it right, you should be able to use fly and ascape back to Cerulean. The little [!] will appear, but he won't run towards you as you run away. Go back up the nugget bridge and battle with a kid you has a Slowpoke as his last pkmn. Once you beat him, fly (once again) to Cerulean. Start to walk up nugget bridge. The start menu will open up without you telling it to. Cancel out of it. A battle will start and there will be a lvl 7 Mew.
You can also do this with other trainers to catch other Pkmn.
