Mew in the Anime/Movies

There are several mews, its just the original earth pokemon. I noticed how Ash/pikachu/brock and Mew didnt act familiar with each other when meeting on Lucario movie at all

Becasue at the end of Movie 1 Mewtwo earased everyones memory, so they cant remember they were on that Island batteling Mewtwo..so they cant remember Mew.

Yup!

Becasue at the end of Movie 1 Mewtwo earased everyones memory, so they cant remember they were on that Island batteling Mewtwo..so they cant remember Mew.

...Then Mewtwo flew somewhere magical. :O

Anyway... I'm positive there is only one mew.

So did he erase Mews memory too because Mew would remember friends.

No point of legendaries if there is a lot of them. They're legends for a reason.

Well, here is a question. Do you think Mewtwo is a Legendary? Is only one of them, but. Is a clone obviously from Mew, you think he could be One of a Kind? Or a Legendary. I think One of a Kind.

In the first movie they do mention Mew to be legendary, but they never actually say that the Mew they meet is the only one of it's kind. It's assumed to be the only one at the time, but the two Mew's in the movies seem like totally different Pokemon. Sort of like how the Moltres, Zapdos and Articuno in Pokemon 2000 aren't one of a kind, either.

Meh, this always baffled me, I think there are multiple legendaries in the show but I'm still a little confused.

There was a baby Lugia in Johto and the narrator says "Mew is the rarest", how can it be the rarest if there are only 1 of other legendaries, too? There must be more. 1 of each works for the games, but not the anime where it's, er, more "real life".

This correct. Ash and Co cannot remember anything at the end of the Movie.

In movie 2 there are Articuno, Moltres and Zapdos. If their balance is disturbed, then they will battle and cause destruction and all balance is lost.

Yet one of the Frontier Brains have an Articuno that verses Ash's Charizard. So far, there's not much that contradicts the fact that the movies are consistent with the anime. Or am I wrong? So there must be more than one of each legendary.

It is possible that that person obtained the Articuno. It is set many years and regions after the 2000 Movie.

Also the balance thing. If there we're more then one of the birds, why not take it in turns to maintain the balance.

I wouldn't say they are two different Mews for that reason. They had different storylines in each there fore them seeming different.

How about the Regis? In the anime Pyramid King had all of them. But in the movie with lucario and Mew there was also the Regis. Are they the same? More than one legendary pokemon? Wow then why are they legendary pokemons for if there's so much of them? I can Understand Celebi's situation since it is a time pokemon.

I've always seen it as there being only one of each kind and that the movies are not set to be "compatible" with the anime, kind of like side-stories that have no detailed connections to the show. Anyhow, most of the movies always seem to simply be background stories about the so-called legendaries with Ash and company somehow getting involved.
