3rd Gen Missing items in LeafGreen?

I remember reading from various sources that in FR/LG, the only way to obtain the Macho Brace is from the Viridian Gym, being a hidden item where Giovanni once stood. Also there's supposed to be a berry in every dark patch of grass in the Berry Forest. There's also a hidden Soothe Bell where Mr. Fuji once stood in the top floor of the Pokemon Tower.

I noticed that on my LeafGreen, I can't find hardly any berries in the Berry Forest, and that if I press A in front of the tile where Giovanni once stood, I don't get a Macho Brace. I don't know about the Soothe Bell yet, since I didn't even know you could get one in FR/LG until a few minutes ago, but I've known about the Macho Brace "rumor" for at least 3 years, and I've always wondered why I can't get one.

Can someone with both FireRed and LeafGreen confirm if LeafGreen has some missing items?

They're like, exactly the same. You need Itemfinder for the Macho Brace, dunno about the Berries. :|

You need to stand where Giovanni was, then use itemfinder. If you use itemfinder where Snorlax was, you get a Leftovers. Same thing with Mr. Fuji to get Soothe Bells. About berries in Berry Forest, no Itemfinder is needed but they regenerate randomly when you walk.
