Okay, so we don't all know the missingno cheat.
Here are the steps:
Talk to the guy who had his coffee and say no to his question. Watch him catch a weedle. After, fly to Cinnabar and surf along the coast where the land and water connect. You'll find over l100 pokemon. When you run into Missingno. or 'M, the screen will take 3 seconds to load.
DO NOT catch Missingno. or 'M if you don't want your game erased. Catching them gives you a high risk of erasing your game. If he does, the screen will say,"Game' corrupted."
If you risk, carry 5 pokemon with you. If you carry 6, Missingno. messes up your PC. Whenever you withdraw ANYTHING, the game will freeze until you release Missingno..
Missingno. or 'M messes up your HoF, even if you only see either one of them. It 'glitches' your HoF.
It shows pokemon that you never used. For example, it showed a 'M on my HoF with a cry of a veeeeeeeeeeeeeerrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrry low-pitched Charmeleon. I freaked out, and I never go to my PC. I think my Red version is haunted. 0.o
