Tired of people online. Every group I join I get 3 Long Swords in random armor that gives them no skills whatsoever. But what really bothers me is when I see them swinging their little ninja sword around the head of a Rathalos when he still has his tail up. Darn it, let me smack his head with my hammer! Sometimes I'm amazed to see people get to such a high HR online.

Also, what do you think of Barioth Armor? I think the Stam and Evasion buff is pretty good for a hammer user. Right now rocking between Rathalos (Got a plate on the 2nd time I carved his tail, ah yeah!) and Lagi Armor.

Finally, Daiblos is a little maggot and I hate him.

i want the game sooo badly cause ive played monster hunter since the one for ps2

also ive heard this game will be released on the psp as MHF3

and bruno i feel you pain when it comes to diablos that thing is a pain in the ass to kill
i dont know what changes theyve made on 3 but on all the others its tough to take down

No, Portable 3rd will come out sometime next year, which is a new game that will have all the weapons from Freedom Unite and Tri. Along with many new monsters.

I can always Sonic Bomb him, but that will put him in rage mode, which makes the next couple minutes equal up to me running around like an buffoon. I have yet to fight him in single player, which will probably be worse. At least Trigrex didn't make a return

Yeah, i am only on the 3* missions because I like to grind fro resources and play around a lot before big bosses, but I am going for the Azi Dahaka (the next upgrade for my CURRENT sword) and Lagi armor.

Btw, nobody likes Diabloses.

Using a paralyze SnS, nice. Lagi armor is nice, but I just made Barioth armor for my Hammer, and I'm loving it, should of made it earlier. Also made it to HR 31, yay for high rank.

a couple friends of mine and myself have been quite addicted to the game since it came out (North American release anyways). We only started to simmer down in are playing the last couple weeks. Online we're all in the 4 star quest, sitting around HR 36. offline one of my friends beat the end boss for it while my other friend and myself have the urgent quest available for it, we simply just haven't bothered with it yet.

I prefer using Long Swords, though I'll admit I can be a bit clumsy with the combo and end up hitting my party members occasionally ^_^;;

lol, luckily it doesnt hurt your teammates when you hit them with it.

By the way, I just need one King's Frill and I have the full Rhenoplos Armor set

Right, however hitting them at the wrong time to have them off there feet and onto a silver platter for which big games you're currently going after and no one likes that.
The Spirit Blade combo is very annoying to alot, and its understandable. It is after all a bunch of horizontal strikes finishing with one vertical, in the process of the combo your character also takes a few steps forward too. So when fighting things like Great Jaggi/Baggi, Qeropeco, Rathian and Ratholos it can be quite bothersum since there isn't much area for attack. Sure Rathian and Ratholos are bigger then the others I mentioned, but unless they're like knocked over or that tail is actually touching the ground the best place for someone like a longsword using to be striking is at the feet. There's been times because of the combo I've accidently either hit somoene on the other side of they're feet or someone trying to smash the head up.
This is all avoidable though, just takes practice..I'm not as bad as some of the other Long sworders I've seen or heard about.


But enough of that rantings. Last night I played some online, doing the event quest that involves hunting 4 Great Jaggi in order to get another 5 Great Jaggi heads to bring my Jaggi Mask up in rarity
We also did a couple other quest between the event one as well and in the process my HR went to 37 and is close to 38...unfortunately this is still not good enough to unlock the next urgent quest. Aside from maybe a couple of Advance quest, all my 4 stars are done online.

I use long sword. For the reason that Sword & Shield barely does any damage. A long sword combo when the damage bar is full - the S&S only does about 8% in a combo done in a Long sword combo. I use hammer for a bit but it didnt fancy me, also annoyed when people walk into cities then just leave.

Can you guys give me some tips on getting a King's Frill? I've hunted and captured the Great Jaggi alot, but I still haven't gotten it.

Smack Great Jaggi's head till pieces explodes. I get a King's Frill just about everytime I kill one. But then again, the more you want an item the less chance you'll get it. It's Capcom's signature mind reading technology. Like jsut today, I spend an hour getting a good group to farm High Rank Gobul. I need 1 Lantern+ to upgrade my hammer. 20 Gobuls later and not a single one.

See, as a general rule with any large monster, I try and avoid the head XD but with Rahtian and Ratholos, my combo, plus there movements sometimes makes the last hit end up near the head. I've gotten better about avoiding that happening since a Hammer user we sometimes played with made a comment about it, buuut it does still happen every now and then lol.

I ranked up again, currently at 39 and have my urgent sitting there, waiting for me. When you say Rathian plus, which are you refering to? The actual Plus gear you'd have to build from scratch, or do you simply mean leveling you old Rathian gear to LV 8? I know I did the latter because the only difference between the two gears is one give s a better health bonus, which is moot to me. I always eat a meal that gives a Health boost along with normally a defense one as well.
But anyways, sure we could play sometime. I may end up actually playing some more later today.

Thats actually why I stuck with Long Sword. I had always intended on trying it out, but before I did I was maining Sheild'n'Sword. I still do like Sheild'n'Sword and use them every now and then, since the do have there advantage ( yay status effects).

when you say beat, do you mean killed or Repelled?

That desire sensor is so damn evil. Trying to fool it is a pain too. Thanks to it I still need to get a Ratholos Plate, and like 5 freaking Lagicrus Horns >_< and thats not evil for high rank stuff, in high rank stuff though it still not letting me have a Bird Wyvren gem. Granted the things I mention have low precent rate for dropping, but after all the time I spent, the number of times I've cap'd and killed...its just, gah XD

Online? Your HR might be too low or you have yet to do your Urgent Quests.
