I'm in Dangerous36m's YouTube tournament. I'm sure some of you have heard of it lol. Anywho, he's using Mudquaza's Tier List and for Round 2 I have to use BL's / UU's (our UU's/NU's for those who go buy smogon)

So I spent a while working on a team and this is what I've come up with

    Mesprit @ Leftovers
    252 HP 208 Defense 48 Sp. At
    Timid
    -Thunderbolt
    -Ice Beam
    -Reflect
    -Stealth Rock

This is my set up pokemon. With EV spread (I made it) it guarentee's I'm never 2HKO'ed by Flame Orb swellows Facade and OHKO back with Tbolt or Ice Beam. Reflect is the aider especially for the sets who like to U-turn to run away. I chose rocks simply as a set up move to help ensure a lot of KO's later on n the game.

    Hitmontop @ Life Orb
    252 Attack / 244 HP / 12 sp. Def
    Adament
    -Fake Out
    -Mach Punch
    -Sucke Punch
    -Close Combat

It took me a VERY long time to come up with something for Raikou. In these tiers SubCMRaikou is devastating. I could only really come up with one "wall" towards it and that was Lanturn, who is one of the few BoltBeam resistant pokemon there is. However, due to CM and raikous decent special defense stat I wont' be breaking a sub after it CM's a couple of times. Leaving me screwed in the long run. Hitmontop given EV spread guarentees that I can come in on either a CM or a Sub Break and Hurt it with Mach Punch or at least get rid of the sub for some of my other pokes to come in and finish the job. It's also useful in destroying later game Swellows. I can come in and Fake out or Mach Punch it to take it out. Mach Punch is guarenteed OHKO, and I don't take a KO from quick attack in return reguardless.

Magmortar @ Expertbelt / Life Orb
    84 Att / 252 Sp. Att / 172 Spe
    -Mild
    -Cross Chop
    -HP Ice
    -Thunderbolt
    -Fire Blast

I thought of houndoom for a long time. However a lot of Mach Punch users are being used in this tournament (being Chan/Top/Lee/Cham). so I went with Magmortar to take more of a hit if necessary. This is the standard MixMortar set and I really like it. CrossChop is really for P2's HP Ice is for Flygon switch ins and other Dragons (not many) who I might see.

    Slowbro @ Leftovers
    212 HP / 252 Def / 44 Sp. Att
    Bold
    -Calm Mind
    -Slack Off
    -HP Electric
    -Surf

Slowbro takes a real punch in UU/NU. So I decided the CMSlackoff set would be best. I went with HP Electric to hurt the vast amount of other Water Types in this tier. After a CM or 2 not much gets passed it.

    Registeel @ Leftovers
    252 HP / 176 Sp. Def / 80 Def
    Careful
    -Ice Punch
    -Earthquak
    -Explosion
    -Toxic

Registeel registeel... not a big fan of the Regis I'll be quite honest but for a wall combo youc an't get much better in UU/BL other than RegiBro. Given EV's allow me to take up to 2 boosted Tbolts and return fire with an EQ. Explosion is to take out later gamers who try to give me trouble or for the few things that Registeel just can't get by.

    Swellow @ Flame Orb (Guts)
    252 Speed / 252 Att / 4 HP
    Jolly
    -Protect
    -Brave Bird
    -Facade
    -Quick Attack

Swellow is my late game clean up. I think where most people bring it in early to try to sweep early is their biggest mistakes. I use swellow to come in late game and take out once I've taken out appropriate counters. Quick Attack is for added priority for the later game and to stop some Mach Punchers or the the likes.

Rate away guys I need the help.

if you really want a raikou counter, consider scarf + encore. relying on hitmontop can be detrimental to the overall outcome.

nothing wrong with hitmontop, it's just that scarf + encore can save you from your terrifying subCM mismagius weak as well. you could use bullet punch over fake out but a well-predicting Mismagius will see right through suckerpunch and continue to set up. all you can rely on at the moment is registeel who might break a sub but is as good as history after 2 CMs.

giving magmortar a -def nature and expecting it to take hits better is a joke. honestly, you'd probably be better of dropping it from your team altogether. besides, you already have a vulnerability to rain dance teams.
